Criteria for Recipients of the Bernard Smith Memorial Scholarship

Graduating Senior in High School Graduating Grade Point Average of "B" or better Must be continuing your education (Vocational school, community college or university Must be a Christian attending a Church of Christ congregation in the tri-county area (Broward, Dade or Palm Beach Currently active in youth activities Participate in Bible classes and or Worship services

If the above criteria is met then complete and submit the Bernard Smith Scholarship Application** and ALL of the following:

Report Card Future institution acceptance letter Letter of recommendation from your congregation's Minister or Youth Director on letterhead Letter of recommendation from your high school Teacher or Administrative Staff on letterhead Submit a 1 page TYPED ESSAY on either of the following "How Has Being a Christian Changed My Life for the Better "I Plan to Give Back to My congregation and or Local Community by...?" Conclude your essay with your spiritual and educational goals. (**look for the icon in the bottom LEFT of this page)
